It's been five years since WWE let go of Matt Cardona, along with several other notable stars. He has since done incredibly well for himself on the independent scene and is famously referred to as The Indy God.

Cardona has expressed his desire to return to WWE on many occasions. Responding to a wrestling X/Twitter account, he stated that he would love to return to the promotion to wrestle John Cena in his last match.

Pat McAfee sent an invitation to a WWE legend ahead of his match at Backlash next month in St. Louis, Missouri. The former NFL punter will be squaring off against Gunther in a singles match.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show today, the RAW commentator invited Scott Steiner to appear on his show. He requested that Big Poppa Pump help him train and give him some advice ahead of his match against Gunther at Backlash 2025.

Stephanie McMahon has sent a message to Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and the rest of The Bloodline. The Anoa'i family featured in the latest edition of Stephanie's Places. In late 2024, the OG Bloodline feuded with the new Bloodline. Solo Sikoa formed the newer version of the group after Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. He eventually kicked Paul Heyman and Jimmy Uso out of the group and recruited Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa.

On social media, McMahon reflected on spending time with the Anoa'i family and stated that she was privileged to hear their stories.

Iyo Sky was able to walk out of WrestleMania 41 with the Women's World Championship. To add to the pain of her defeat at the Show of Shows, it seems that Bianca Belair also suffered an injury.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, there is concern in WWE at present that Belair broke several of her fingers in the match, which could be why she missed Monday Night RAW this past week.

John Cena won the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 Night Two. Randy Orton attacked The Cenation Leader on the RAW following The Show of Shows and planted him with an RKO out of nowhere.

The Viper hit Cena with another RKO on this past Friday night's episode of SmackDown after the champion went for a cheap shot. Cena will be defending the title against Orton at WWE Backlash 2025, and several stars could potentially interfere in the match.
