A WWE Hall of Famer has now spoken about returning to the company for a match after 12 years. The star has not wrestled in a long time. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Duggan has signed a new contract with the company after years away from the ring. The star has not wrestled a match in many years. His last match was in 2019, after which he has not entered the ring.
That could be changing now, as the star has a return to WWE in mind, and he would be doing so in a destination where he has never wrestled in his career. Duggan spoke to Connel Rumsey of Wrestle Talk about wanting to appear in Saudi Arabia when asked about the Royal Rumble the company is hosting in the country the next year. Duggan has the huge honor of being the first-ever winner of the Royal Rumble match in history. While repeating that accomplishment is unlikely in 2026, the star’s appearance would make for a huge pop.
Leader of Legado Del Fantasma, WWE Superstar Santos Escobar, has been missing from a SmackDown ring for quite some time. The former Cruiserweight Champion knows fans are waiting and sent a strange message through X/Twitter. While the former El Hijo del Fantasma hasn’t exactly been a megastar on the main roster, Escobar has settled into the SmackDown brand alongside Angel and Berto as an exciting trio. The pair of Angel and Berto have come close to tag team glory a handful of times, while Escobar has battled for the United States Title a handful of times. Originally, it seemed that Escobar and company were set to take over the blue brand after Escobar left the LWO in 2023, forming a new Legado Del Fantasma with Angel and Berto replacing Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro. The leader of the group even managed to pick up wins over names like Bobby Lashley. Unfortunately, WWE cooled off on the now 41-year-old Superstar. Escobar hasn’t touched a ring since June, when he and the rest of LDF defeated El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Psycho Clown, and Pagano in trios action at WWE Worlds Collide. | In breaking news, a Hall of Famer has revealed that they have signed a new WWE contract after 15 years. The star has not been signed to such a contract with the company for a long time. Hacksaw Jim Duggan is recognized as one of the best to have ever wrestled in WWE and is seen as one of the biggest babyfaces of his time. His indomitable spirit in the ring and the work that he brought to every match he ever had always made him a crowd favorite. There was a report earlier that Jim Duggan had signed a contract with WWE after years away from the company. While he had made some appearances here and there, it was not something he did while on a full contract. Now, speaking to Connel Rumsey of WrestleTalk, the star revealed that he had signed his first Legends contract with the company after 15 years in January. |
FROM THE RUMOR MILL
WWE had to let go of some Superstars this year, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Another wrestler parted ways with the Stamford-based promotion in late September, and the reason has now been revealed. Edris Enofe, a U.S. Navy veteran, recently took to his social media to inform everyone of his decision to leave WWE. The 31-year-old star signed with the company following a tryout during SummerSlam weekend in Las Vegas four years ago.
He has since been part of NXT, having first debuted on TV against Malik Blade during 205 Live on November 19, 2021. The two would then form a tag team until Blade suffered a torn ACL and meniscus late last year. His injury opened the door for Edris Enofe to compete in the singles competition. He briefly wrestled at NXT live events and WWE Evolve, where he was 5-0 undefeated. He was last seen in action in July, losing to Lince Dorado. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio previously reported that the creative wasn’t pleased with Edris Enofe and that he was nowhere near main roster-bound. In another update, Bryan Alvarez noted that Enofe requested his release, and it appears the company has granted his request.
