It has been a surprising year for WWE, but it seems as though it's about to get even more shocking since R-Truth has revealed that he has been released from the company.
The former champion took to X/Twitter to share the news. Truth noted that he has been released and then thanked the WWE Universe for the memories, just a week after wrestling his childhood hero John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event. It was later reported by several outlets that his contract will not be renewed when it expires later this year, which is what Truth is referring to.
 The news that R-Truth has been released by WWE has rocked the wrestling world, but it seems that he won't be walking away alone. His fellow “Judgment Day” member Carlito will also be walking away from the company in two weeks' time, something he has confirmed on his X account. Carlito noted that WWE had made the decision not to renew his deal and even joked about making his return in another 13 years. |  R-Truth recently took to X/Twitter to break the unfortunate news of his release from the company. Truth thanked World Wrestling Entertainment and the fans for their support in his career. Several current and former wrestling personalities reacted to R-Truth's release, including Kevin Owens, Rhea Ripley, Big E, Naomi, Carmelo Hayes, Matt Cardona, Ricochet, Baron Corbin, and Cathy Kelley. All the stars penned heartfelt messages for the legend. |

A report by Dave Meltzer has revealed the reason behind the two stars being let go. In an update on the situation on F4WOnline, he disclosed that both of the stars leaving were cases of the contract expiring and not being renewed. He added the reason for them being let go as well, saying that when new additions come to the roster from NXT, there will be “subtractions” as well. He said that older undercard guys or those not being utilized were the ones most at risk.
