Prayers up for AEW veteran Jim Ross' speedy recovery
Inside: Adam Cole involved in horrible botch

TOP STORIES TODAY
Two weeks ago, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer. The entire wrestling community immediately showered him with support, as he also revealed that he was scheduled to undergo imminent surgery to begin the treatment for this.
Jim Ross took to X/Twitter to share the news himself. He announced that he had undergone surgery for his cancer earlier today, and mentioned that it was successful. He also mentioned his next course of action, which was the process of rehabilitation.
During the May 28, 2025, edition of Dynamite, Cole was set to defend his TNT Championship against a Don Callis Family star, Kyle Fletcher. He was backed by his faction and Callis himself, who was calling the action along with the commentary team. The match kicked off to a spectacular start as The Protostar and The Panama City Playboy went at each other. However, there was a huge botch that may have been catastrophic for Cole on AEW Dynamite this week. As the two stars were fighting outside the ring, Fletcher attempted a powerbomb on Cole. In doing so, he dropped Cole in such a manner that it seemed like he landed on the back of his head. The former WWE Superstar looked to be severely hurt at one point, but finally got back up and continued the match. | Last Sunday at Double Or Nothing, Jamie Hayter faced Mercedes Mone in the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Despite putting up a great fight, The CEO was able to steal the win via a roll-up pin, earning a world title shot at All In: Texas. On Dynamite, Jamie Hayter was set to address her future plans after her tough loss. Before she could say anything, the lights went out, and Thekla attacked her. The former Stardom star's appearance confirmed the reports that she had signed with AEW. |
FROM THE RUMOR MILL
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is now reporting that several of AEW's talent are feeling the effects of Double or Nothing. It appears that many of them are awaiting on-site medical clearances, and the list of questionable ones is "as long as it’s been in a while."It was also reported that the Young Bucks emerged from Double or Nothing with injuries, and it is feared that Nicholas Jackson may have sustained a concussion. However, the official diagnosis has not yet been confirmed.

ANALYSIS CORNER
The One and Only star has picked up major victories in the past few weeks. He defeated Zach Gowen, Anthony Bowens, and Angelico, and has two tag team victories alongside The Elite. He emerged victorious in one of the most brutal matches in his career recently. At Double or Nothing, Ricochet defeated Mark Briscoe in a gruesome Stretcher Match.
It seems like the AEW star was on cloud nine following the win. On tonight's Dynamite, he got straight to the point and talked about starting a faction. The current AEW scene consists of factions like Hurt Syndicate, Death Riders, The Don Callis Family, The Elite, and The Opps. He stated that he had to build a faction in the stable-dominant roster.
