Orton heel turn, Straton botch & new Wiseman at Crown Jewel?

Inside: Big E backs 28-year-old to become WWE World Champion

TOP STORIES TODAY

A WWE Hall of Famer is hoping to see Randy Orton turn heel once again. The Viper is currently aligned with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on SmackDown.

Wrestling legend Mark Henry was interviewed on the latest episode of TMZ's Inside the Ring podcast and claimed that Randy Orton needed to turn heel again. The World's Strongest Man suggested that Orton was being underutilized and needed to return to his heel persona.

Former WWE Champion Big E believes that a popular star will win a world title in the next five years. The former member of The New Day said that he would be surprised if it did not happen. The name in question is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion and AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio. The 28-year-old has been an integral part of Monday Night RAW since joining The Judgment Day three years ago.

During his appearance on the latest edition of RAW Recap, Big E noted that he would have laughed at the idea of Dominik Mysterio being labeled as a future champion a few years ago. However, it is no longer the case. The 39-year-old added that he would be surprised if "Dirty" Dom doesn't hold a world championship in the next five years.

Jade Cargill seemingly confirms Tiffany Stratton botched WWE title match finish on SmackDown

Jade Cargill came up short in the Triple Threat Women’s Championship match on WWE SmackDown last week, but it seems that the botched pinfall at the end of the bout may not have been her fault. Following the show, Jade Cargill took to X/Twitter, where she liked a fan’s update claiming that Tiffany Stratton was the one at fault for the error.

It seems that Cargill should have been kicked off the pin, and that would have then been the end of the match; instead, she was late, and Jax was forced to kick out. This then led to a pin attempt, but the referee claimed that there was a kickout at two when there wasn’t. This has led to the female official receiving a significant amount of online abuse over the weekend, with fans believing that she was at fault.

FROM THE RUMOR MILL

WWE has reportedly made a change in how they call up stars to the main roster. The promotion is currently on the road to WWE Crown Jewel on October 11 at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. According to a new report from Fightful Select, the promotion has shifted its strategy from the Vince McMahon era of immediately pulling stars from NXT when they are called up to the main roster. The report noted that things have been handled differently over the past year or so, with call-ups being kept secret, and stars do not have to immediately leave NXT TV.

Fightful also spoke to a source at WWE’s Performance Center who shared that the promotion believes it is important to have a veteran presence, and some have been brought in for a run in NXT without immediate plans of being called up to the main roster.

The OG Bloodline is back together on WWE RAW, as Roman Reigns made his return and rescued the Usos from the Vision this Monday. The OTC’s arrival shocked Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Reigns wreaked havoc on the red brand and even hyped Jey Uso, and they stood tall in the end.

All this development is a clear sign that it’s time for OG Bloodline vs the Vision in WWE. However, in this battle, the former Undisputed Champion may need a Wiseman on his side, and at Crown Jewel, Roman Reigns might bring back Rikishi after 4 years in this role.
