TOP STORIES TODAY
WWE’s global expansion is set to continue in a big way, as company president Nick Khan has confirmed that Italy will host a premium live event in 2026. This marks yet another milestone in the Stamford-based promotion’s push to stage more international spectacles, a strategy that has gained momentum since the merger with TKO.
Speaking to SportBusiness, Khan revealed that the Italian PLE will align with the launch of WWE programming on Netflix in the region. While the specific date of the event has yet to be announced, the move highlights WWE’s effort to grow its European footprint beyond its regular tours and live events. Currently, WWE content airs in Italy via the WWE Network, Discovery Plus, and DMAX, but 2026 will mark the first time the country plays host to one of the company’s major shows.
Torrie Wilson recently opened up about her first day in WWE during her appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show. She revealed that her debut was particularly challenging because she had to film an intense scene with Vince McMahon right away. Despite being new to the company, she was immediately placed in a high-pressure situation, which made the experience memorable and overwhelming. Adding to the pressure, Linda McMahon was also present during the segment, which heightened the intensity of the moment for Wilson. She contrasted this with her positive interactions with other WWE stars like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kurt Angle, who she described as funny and welcoming. Overall, Wilson reflected on the moment as a daunting but defining introduction to her WWE career. | Dominik Mysterio continues to thrive as both the WWE Intercontinental Champion and AAA Mega Champion, but his fractured relationship with his father, Rey Mysterio, remains a central storyline. Rey has been absent from WWE programming since being pulled from WrestleMania 41 due to injury, though he has made occasional appearances in AAA. At WWE vs. AAA Worlds Collide, Rey suffered a humiliating moment when he was forced to strap the AAA Mega Championship around his son’s waist following a match. In a recent appearance on the Shoboy Show, Rey Mysterio admitted that his relationship with “Dirty” Dom is beyond repair. Despite their shared history and iconic family legacy in wrestling, Rey made it clear that reconciliation is no longer possible, cementing the personal and professional divide between father and son. |
FROM THE RUMOR MILL
Big E, who has been sidelined for more than three years due to a serious neck injury, was notably absent from WWE’s NXT Homecoming event despite speculation about his appearance. The special show celebrated the black-and-gold era of NXT and featured several returning stars, but big names like Big E, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns were missing from the lineup.
Cory Hays of BodySlam.net fueled fan excitement ahead of the event by teasing Big E’s potential return with a GIF on X (formerly Twitter). However, the night ended without the former WWE Champion appearing on television, apart from being included in a hype package. This has left fans disappointed, as hopes for a surprise return from the beloved New Day member were left unfulfilled.

ANALYSIS CORNER
WWE Wrestlepalooza is around the corner, and the fans have been waiting for the action to unfold in Indianapolis. Some massive matches have been made official for the PLE, and among them marks another final appearance for John Cena on his Farewell Tour. The 17-time World Champion is set to face one of his biggest rivals in the industry, Brock Lesnar, and fans have been waiting to witness both men meet each other in the squared circle, potentially for the last time.
With two of the biggest legends set to battle at WrestlePalooza, it would be quite interesting to see what the aftermath would be. Brock Lesnar might end up losing the match, given Cena is on his Retirement Tour, and some major consequences could follow if the Beast gets pinned.
