Gunther defeated Jey Uso on WWE RAW to become the new World Heavyweight Champion in a grueling main event. The match followed Jey’s victory over Logan Paul at Saturday Night’s main Event. However, Jey entered the bout with visible injuries from Bronson Reed’s Tsunami splashes the previous week. Gunther capitalized, targeting Jey’s midsection throughout the match, even tearing off his bandages to expose the damage.
Despite Jey’s resilience—hitting a suplex, spear, and splash for a nearfall—Gunther’s power and strategy proved too much. The action escalated with both men trading suplexes, power moves, and sleeper holds. In the end, Gunther locked in a sleeper that left Jey unconscious, forcing the referee to stop the match. The Ring General was declared the winner and new champion, reclaiming his place at the top of the red brand.
 R-Truth appeared on WWE RAW tonight after returning at Money in the Bank. He suddenly cut his hair off in a dramatic twist and revealed a new look. Truth was cutting a heavy promo on RAW after he appeared and stood on the commentary desk to tell everyone his thoughts after everything that had happened. However, it was during the promo that he wanted everyone to know that what he was doing was not a gimmick. He took out a pair of scissors and then cut his hair off. |  Asuka has been gone from WWE for more than a year. She was supposed to take part in the Queen of the Ring tournament last year, and had to be pulled from the bracket thanks to an injury. It had been revealed that she had been suffering from a knee injury for months at the time, and she was struggling to get to where she needed to be. Since then, she has gone through treatment and has been posting about her progress. Now, Triple H brought her back quietly. With the Queen of the Ring tournament brackets finally announced tonight, it's been confirmed that she is going to be returning to the ring. |

Before Saturday's premium live event, the reigning United States Champion caught Sikoa talking badly about him to JC Mateo. The former Tribal Chief even called him 'all gas, no brains.' Sikoa was about to win the MITB briefcase before The Samoan Werewolf finally uttered the words "I hate you" to complete his turn. This move officially began Fatu's feud with his real-life cousin.
One fan asked Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer regarding Jacob Fatu's current status following MITB. Meltzer reported that Fatu would now be a face, while Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo would be heels.

WWE Superstar CM Punk interrupted John Cena during his in-ring promo on this week’s episode of RAW. The Second City Saint fired several shots at the Undisputed Champion and challenged him for the title. While The Straight Edge Superstar wanted the match to be held on the same night, Cena said he would give Punk a shot only at Night of Champions.
