Gunther did not go easy on Pat McAfee, and he gave as good as he got during the bout at Backlash. Despite quite a valiant attempt by the RAW commentator to defend his own honor, as well as that of Michael Cole's, he was left hurt at the event. In the end, he lost the match, with The Ring General picking up the win.
As it turns out, Gunther's beating left Pat McAfee quite hurt. He explained that he was late because he had been checked out by the medical team before RAW. He spoke about how his chest, back, hands, and legs were all hurting now after the match. But that was not all. The chop by Gunther to the chest also burst an eye vessel for him.
 This week's episode of WWE RAW was a memorable one that featured several must-see segments and matches. One of the highlights of the show was Giulia and Roxanne Perez taking on the duo of Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY in the main event. Following their loss, it looks like Giulia and Perez might have broken up. The duo began teaming only a couple of weeks back. Though fans were elated to see the two former NXT Women's Champions come together, their association didn't yield many dividends. Giulia and Roxanne Perez first lost on the April 29 episode of NXT, where the team of IYO SKY and Jordynne Grace defeated them. Now, in the main event of this week's RAW, the duo suffered another setback when Rhea Ripley and SKY defeated them. The match ended with Ripley pinning Giulia. |  The former Universal Champion was released alongside several other names a few days back. However, Strowman's exit shocked the wrestling world the most as he was a widely respected and beloved name. While it remains to be seen what his wrestling future looks like, he has a massive show in the pipeline that will air on the USA Network. It was recently announced that Strowman will host the food show Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman, which will release during the Fall season. The show will see The Monster Among Men feast travel across America and order everything on the menu of whichever restaurant he visits. |

As per a report by James Stewart, WWE is now looking for a deal to come to fruition. They are looking to make John Cena's farewell a huge affair. As was previously reported by Sportskeeda, Cena's last match will likely take place on December 13. Now, a further report has revealed that there are more plans for that weekend. As reported before, the match is planned for December 13, but WWE is looking for a $1.5 million financial commitment from host cities.
ANALYSIS CORNER
WWE Backlash 2025 was a decent PLE but still left some meat on the bone for RAW. Becky Lynch was going to be upset after losing a great match to Lyra Valkyria. The Man claimed to have changed her attitude because the fans had turned on her last year. CM Punk partially blamed himself for not seeing Paul Heyman's betrayal coming.
Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker attacked him, but Sami Zayn and Jey Uso made the save. Rollins and Breakker will face Punk and Zayn at Saturday Night's Main Event. With only two weeks between that show and Money in the Bank, officials are cramming a lot of content into a small time frame.

Jey Uso is still in the infancy of his WWE World Championship reign. While fans in the building are YEETing alongside Main Event Jey, some have been critical of his championship win and reign so far. WWE has wrapped up WrestleMania season and is on the road to Money in the Bank. However, the company will make a pit stop for Saturday Night's Main Event, which features a championship match you'd be forgiven for forgetting about.
