Inside: Cena vs Styles for IC Title?

TOP STORIES TODAY

Randy Orton is one of the biggest WWE stars of his generation and is still among the top names in the company at the age of 45. He recently made a massive announcement that would surely excite his fans. Since TKO took over WWE, stars have wrestled fewer dates and focused more on helping the company grow. One of the things they are doing right now is getting sponsors left and right.

It's not a new thing in wrestling, but it has been increasing over the past year or so. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Orton shared a message for his fans in Orlando, Florida. Orton announced a meet and greet at The Good Pour on Edgewater Drive and is excited to get to know everyone there.

One-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Charlotte Flair, has recently gone through a personal loss. She just shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of a family friend. The Queen has gone through some rough patches in her life. She lost her younger brother, Reid Flair, at the age of 25. She recently went through a divorce with Andrade after being together for nearly five years.

Some time ago, Charlotte Flair took to her Instagram to announce the untimely passing of her long-time best friend, Britney Zahn. She penned a heartfelt note in her memory and shared several throwback pictures with her.

On this Monday's episode of WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY were viciously attacked by The Kabuki Warriors. The company released new footage after the assault, with Ripley receiving help to alleviate the pain of getting blue mist in her eyes. The main event of RAW was a match between Ripley and Asuka, with Kairi Sane in the corner of The Empress of Tomorrow. Mami overcame Sane’s presence to get the win over Asuka, who immediately spat blue mist on her opponent after the match. IYO SKY immediately came to the aid of Rhea Ripley, trying to calm the situation by talking to Asuka and Kairi.

It looked like cooler heads prevailed, but the Grand Slam Champion hit a spinning backfist to the Genius of the Sky. To end the night, Asuka held SKY as Kairi reluctantly hit an Insane Elbow. In an Instagram post on WWE Deutschland, footage after RAW went off the air showed how referee Chad Patton assisted Ripley by pouring water into her eyes and giving her a towel to wipe the mist out.

FROM THE RUMOR MILL

Rhea Ripley did not have the best time on WWE RAW this week. After a star's huge heel turn, she was left in an unfortunate predicament. The star was facing Asuka in the main event of the night after weeks of arguments backstage, over her friendship with IYO SKY. Asuka was not happy with SKY’s camaraderie with Ripley and made it clear, but that did not end the friendship between them. After weeks of Asuka demanding that SKY do better and pay attention to the Kabuki Warriors and not Ripley, things snapped.

The two of them ended up in the main event of the night. Rhea Ripley won, but that did not go well for her. Asuka sprayed her with the Green Mist after the match was done, leaving her a mess and writhing on the ground. Asuka and Sane followed with a beatdown. According to a report by Fightful Select, it appears that something unexpected has occurred. The report stated that Ripley left her gear on while still completely covered by the mist. The report noted that a backstage source had described the mist as a “comical amount,” and it was not expected to be as substantial as it was.

The Attitude Era is one of the most memorable and beloved eras in WWE history. Several times, the sports entertainment giant has tried to replicate its success and popularity, but has not reached the same heights. Recently, it was revealed that the company could revive a popular event from the era.

Stone Cold Steve Austin's rise to prominence and Bret Hart's infamous departure after the Montreal Screwjob marked the beginning of the Attitude Era, which forever changed the industry. For the next four and a half years, the company became immensely popular and a large part of pop culture. However, the Attitude Era officially ended in 2002 when the company changed its name, and a new era was kicked off. Towards the very end, WCW and ECW invaded the Stamford-based promotion, which kick-started the Invasion angle, followed by the pay-per-view with the same name in July 2001.

ANALYSIS CORNER

John Cena is set to battle AJ Styles at the next WWE Premium Live Event, Crown Jewel, in Perth, Australia, on October 11. The Franchise Player has faced several top superstars during his Retirement Tour, and now it's time for him to run it back with The Phenomenal One.

However, many now believe that the bout between the veterans at the upcoming premium live event should be for the Intercontinental Championship. While fans expect to see the title change hands when Dominik Mysterio defends it against Rusev on next week's episode of RAW, Triple H could swerve fans and have AJ dethrone The Judgment Day member ahead of Crown Jewel and have him defend the belt against John Cena in Perth.
