Last week’s WWE NXT featured a massive match between Josh Briggs and Myles Borne to determine the final member of Team NXT. The bout was intriguing in its own right, but the appearance of TNA’s Matt Cardona ended up taking the spotlight. During the match, Briggs tried to take Borne down using a chain, but Cardona made his presence felt and ended up costing the dangerous Josh Briggs the match, leaving him out of Team NXT. This week on NXT vs TNA Showdown, Cardona was spotted apologizing to the brand’s General Manager, Ava, for his interference last week. Further, the TNA star stated that he was ready if Briggs wanted to take revenge when the latter barged in to ask Ava for a match against Cardona. The NXT General Manager wasted no time and made the match official. This match against Josh Briggs for Cardona next week would mark the latter’s first match in the company since March 2020. | Former WWE Superstar Karrion Kross recently called out Triple H. The Herald of Doomsday and his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, exited the promotion earlier this year. Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were guests on Chris Van Vliet's Insight podcast, and The King of Kings was brought up. Kross noted that it was strange that The Game tried to spin it that fans were chanting for Brock Lesnar during his appearance on the WWE SummerSlam 2025 post-show. Scarlett Bordeaux also suggested that the moment made things so much worse. |
FROM THE RUMOR MILL
WWE may have massive plans for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42 next year. The company's biggest show of the year was initially announced for New Orleans in 2026, but the promotion changed plans, and it will be taking place in Las Vegas for the second year in a row.

Meltzer noted that it was only speculation and added that he expected Reigns to be in action at WWE Survivor Series later this year in San Diego.
