Drew McIntyre recently found himself in a tricky real-life situation. The Scottish Warrior has now provided an update on his WWE SummerSlam 2025 status, revealing what will happen at the premium live event.
McIntyre, as you would know, was stranded in the United Kingdom after a mix-up with his passport led to him not being allowed to re-enter the United States of America. There was a big possibility of him missing SummerSlam, but a new post from Drew McIntyre will give a lot of relief to his fans. In a video on X, McIntyre said that he was not feeling good about the whole matter before taking shots at The Miz for trying to replace him. But shortly after, The A-Lister’s hopes of a SummerSlam 2025 match ended.

 In a surprising move, WWE has suddenly canceled a show without any explanation. The show in question is WWE Speed. The Stamford-based promotion has been very inconsistent in airing the show. For the last two weeks, though, it did not air. Both nights, Speed’s broadcast was canceled, and Triple H has also remained silent on the matter. Tonight, Speed was canceled again without any explanation from the company, causing confusion among fans. The current Men’s Speed Champion is El Grande Americano, and Women’s Speed Champion is Sol Ruca. WWE has brought back many controversial names over the years, but it looks like they have completely closed the door on a former United States Champion’s return. The star in question is Alberto Del Rio.
The Mexican star’s future has been hanging in the balance after his AAA run ended abruptly. He recently lost a match against El Mesias, which had the stipulation that Del Rio would have to leave the promotion if he suffered a defeat. Fightful Select reported that Alberto is legitimately done with AAA, and there are no plans in place for him to return to WWE anytime soon.
During a recent Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about the same topic. He quoted WWE higher-ups who told him over the years that the chances of Del Rio coming back are slim to none.

Brock Lesnar has not been seen on WWE programming since SummerSlam 2023. His return at The Biggest Party of the Summer this year could change the entire landscape of the sports entertainment juggernaut.
