2 WWE legends are now retired. They have handed over their boots and bid farewell to their fans. The Dudley Boys say goodbye to wrestling after their match against the Hardy Boys for the WWE NXT Tag Team and the TNA World Championships It was expected heading into the match that it was going to be the last match for at least D-Von Dudley. However, both stars have now chosen to retire. After a hard-hitting match against two of their biggest rivals in the form of the Hardy Boys, they finally ended their careers in the ring. It was a Tables Match for the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles as well as the TNA World Tag Team Titles.
All four stars brought back history, and it looked like they had turned back time, going all out one last time. In a moment that defied time, Jeff Hardy even hit a Swanton Bomb on D-Von Dudley through a table. That was not all, though, as after the match ended and the Hardy Boys won, they hugged their opponents. The Dudleys then took off their boots and handed them over to the Hardys in a symbolic gesture, letting them know that they were finally retiring.

Bret Hart has now canceled an appearance for an event where he would have met a WWE Hall of Famer he is not too fond of - Goldberg. The star gave his reasons for the cancellation. Both Hart and Goldberg were scheduled to be under the same roof for the first time in years. Neither star is known to be too fond of the other, with Hart maintaining that the Hall of Famer’s work in the ring is dangerous. It was a stiff kick from Da Man that forced the star to retire early thanks to a concussion. Both stars were advertised for The Big Event convention in New York. The event featured both the stars and the Great Muta and Sting as the ones set to appear. Fans were looking forward to what would happen when they came face-to-face with each other, given the animosity between the two stars. Now, in a press release, it has been announced that Bret Hart has canceled his appearance for the show. In a statement, Bret Hart said that it pained him to have to reschedule his North Eastern USA dates this November, as he has a few unavoidable commitments at home. | IShowSpeed is set to be involved in a project. It looks like the project also features a former WWE champion. IShowSpeed is no stranger to the WWE world. At WrestleMania 40, IShowSpeed showed up dressed as a Prime bottle and interfered in the match between Logan Paul and Randy Orton. He was on the receiving end of an RKO for his troubles. Speed was also a surprise entrant in the 2025 Royal Rumble. However, his time in the match didn’t last long, as he was hit with a devastating spear by Bron Breakker before he was eliminated. It now looks like he might be involved in another project with former champion Sheamus.IShowSpeed recently posted a picture of himself holding a clapperboard on his Instagram Stories. Based on the picture, it looks like Speed was at the Performance Center and filming for a project. Sheamus could be seen sitting in the background. The title on Speed's clapperboard read “Speed Goes Pro,” which is the name of his new show on YouTube where he trains to become a professional athlete in different sports. |
FROM THE RUMOR MILL
Just before Crown Jewel 2025, fans were in for a rude shock when it came to light that WWE had released a bunch of stars from its NXT and Evolve brands. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer is now reporting that these cuts weren’t the last and that more unfortunate releases could happen in the coming days.
Among those shown the door from the global juggernaut were former NXT North American Champion Wes Lee, real-life Bloodline member Lance Anoa’i, Kylie Rae, and more. It was also noted that the releases had nothing to do with the company doing budget cuts but were a result of the athletes not living up to expectations. Lee’s departure, particularly, left the fans most disappointed, as he was once predicted to be the future of WWE. However, he struggled to find his groove in recent months and seemed lost in the mix on the black and silver brand. Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer has now mentioned that there was more bad news to come, as the promotion could part ways with a few more names after the successful recent Crown Jewel 2025.
